Roddy Doyle has written ten novels, including The Snapper (1990), Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha, for which he won the Booker Prize in 1993, and, most recently, The Guts (2013).  His short stories have appeared in the New Yorker and McSweeney’s.  He has written screenplays and for the stage; his adaptation of The Commitments has been running in the Palace Theatre, in London, since September 2013.  He has also written seven books for children.  He lives and works in Dublin.

Sean Moncrieff is a freelance journalist, author and award winning broadcast presenter. He currently presents Moncrieff every afternoon on Newstalk106-8. The show has won eight PPI Radio Awards and two New York Radio Awards. He will be in conversation with Roddy Doyle at the Howth Midsummer Literary arts Festival in The Lutyens Libray in Howth Castle at 2.30pm on Saturday 6 June 2015.
