Howth Midsummer Literary Arts Festival 5-7 June 2015



Welcome to the Howth Midsummer Literary Arts Festival which will be held in the historic Lutyens Library in Howth Castle 5-7 June 2015. This event is new to the festival calendar and aims to offer a unique cultural experience in the beautiful grounds of Howth Castle and its environs. The programme will offer three distinctive strands; Literary, Cultural Heritage and Children’s Literature. “Howth, with its many literary connections and connotations, is an ideal site for a book festival, and I warmly welcome this summer’s inaugural event.” John Banville – Winner of 2005 Man Booker Prize.

The literary programme boasts a stunning selection of the very best in Irish and International contemporary writing. It comprises of five “in conversation” events headlined by Pulitzer Prize winners Richard Ford and Michael Cunningham and Booker Prize winners John Banville, Anne Enright and Roddy Doyle. Read more >>
